Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” Has Been Banned From University Of Edinburg

Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” was given so much life by Miley Cyrus’ performance on stage at the recent MTV VMAs performance.
This has however angered many adults and Thicke’s song has now been banned on the University Of Edinburg campus as the lyrical content of the song is said to go against the Campus’ “End of rape culture and Lad Banter” policy.

Kirsty Haigh, the Vice President of the University association said the decision to ban “Blurred Lines” from different venues on campus was taken because the song promotes unhealthy attitude towards sex and consent.

The song which features rap star T.I and singer Pharell had lines like “I know you want it” “Nothing like your last guy/ he don’t smash those a** like that” and others which are considered by the association as glamorizingly violent towards women.

Thicke himself has seen nothing bad in the lyrics as he said even the good girls all have a little bad sides
