In what might have appeared to be a reaction to the her raunchy MTV VMAs performance, Miley Cyrus has finally shed some light on her breakup with fiance Liam Hemsworth.
Miley had been under so much criticism after her performance at the VMAs and she also got axed when she stripped down completely for her “Wrecking Ball” video.
The fiance finally broke the relationship and moved quickly to someone else but Miley just revealed that the instability of the relationship inspired her to write the song “Drive” on Valentine’s Day.
“This song is about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself from them” Miley said.
And Miley thinks her MTV performance was off the hook. She said “I feel like music is really stale right now. I could have guessed what many other artists would have done that night. The reaction to what I did was insane. To me, I think it was a breadth of fresh-air.”uf
