The sudden and shocking death of Paul Walker will not end the production of Fast & Furious 7.
The film, which was well into production — and is slated for a July 2014 release — will delay shooting which, after the holiday break, was set to resume on Sunday in Atlanta.
We’re told certain scenes with Walker were to be shot this week, but now Universal Pictures is trying to figure out how to work around the star’s tragic death.
Rewrites to the script are expected.
Additionally, cast members such as Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson are too devastated by their friend and colleague’s passing to return to work now.
As Gossip Network previously reported, Walker died in a car crash on Saturday, while sitting in the passenger seat of a Porsche driven by Roger Rodas, the CEO of the actor’s company Always Evolving.
Walker was slated to film more scenes next month in Abu Dhabi.
It’s unclear whether the movie will now be released on time.
