Kanye West Suing YouTube Co-Founder Chad Hurley For Uploading His Proposal To Kim Kardashian
Kanye West is throwing another tantrum. This time he’s taking it to court. And perhaps he has a point?
The rapper, who likes to protect his privacy, is suing YouTube creator Chad Hurley for uploading a smartphone video recording of him proposing to Kim Kardashian....
It seems Hurley has been trying to find a second success with MixBit, his latest project where he uploads celebrity videos.
Needless to say West wasn’t happy that the video was used without permission or compensation. In fact, suggests ValleyWag, the Kardashians were probably hoping to keep all the footage from Kanye and Kim’s “Proposal in the AT&T Park” under wraps until they could make use of it.
According to TMZ, Hurley violated a non-disclosure agreement by publishing the video, which was immediately the longest and most detailed look at the lavish ballpark ceremony.
Kanye didn’t seem to mind a few Instagrams, but Hurley’s footage was more than a snapshots. It captured the entire proposal. The footage has gotten nearly 1.5 million views since last week.
