Burna Boy’s interview on The Juice: 3 things SK Johnson learnt

The latest celebrity to sit down with Toolz on her (very comfortable looking, I might add) couch is none other than Burna Boy. Fresh off the release of his album L.I.F.E (Leaving an Impact For Eternity,) the star joined the presenter for a hilarious interview, revealing a number of interesting facts in the process. Check out three below. His name is “Burna Rankin”. Well, one of them, anyway, which is apparently related to his admiration of Jamaican dancehall musician, Shabba Ranks. TuFace isn’t human. At least according to Burna Boy. When asked about features on his album, he mentioned a song with TuFace and Timaya and went on to explain that TuFace is one of the Nigerian artists who inspire him, before sharing his thoughts on TuBaba’s otherworldly nature; “I don’t even feel like he’s human. I have a theory in my head that he’s just not human.” Well, okay then. His genre of music is “Afro fusion”. If you’re confused about what that means, at least give him credit for avoiding the predictable “afro pop” description.
