Miley Cyrus may no longer be engaged, but is she with child?
The Internet has been buzzing that the “Wrecking Ball” singer has a bun in the oven following a so-called report that during the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta over the weekend, she and Juicy J announced they were expecting a baby together.
According to the site Cream Bmp Daily, the rapper allegedly told the crowd that Cyrus has “been doing a lot more than twerking,” after which Liam Hemsworth’s former fiancĂ©e supposedly yelled to the laughing crowd, ‘No, I’m really pregnant.”
Of course, seeing how the outlet calls itself a “satire” site, it shouldn’t come as a complete shock to learn that there really wasn’t any big announcement made. Sure enough, Cyrus herself playfully addressed the speculation by tweeting on Monday, “Waking up to the news that I’m now pregnant with @therealjuicyj baby.”
Her mom, Tish, also couldn’t help but be amused, writing, “hahahahaha YEP! read that last night!! This is my favorite one yet!”

President Goodluck Jonathan has handed over the share certificates and licenses to 14 new owners of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN successor companies with an assurance that things will get better in the power sector. Jonathan described the process of the privatisation programme as the most transparent in the history of privatisation in the country.
Meanwhile PHCN staff are not happy about this improvement because their salaries are yet to be paid. They protested this morning in Governemnt offices in Abuja and Lagos, and also warned the new investors to stay away from power installations for now until their demands are met. Kidnappers Of Edo State Judge Yet To Contact Family, As Edo Judges, Lawyers And Judicial Staff Resolve To Boycott Court
Kidnappers of Edo State High Court Judge, Justice Daniel Okungbowa, who was abducted on his way to resume at the Ekpoma Division of the high court last week, are yet to make contact with the family. No ransom demand had been made, nor communications established by the kidnappers.
Meanwhile, Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSON at a meeting this weekend in Benin, directed its members to stay at home for seven days effective from Wednesday, if the judge was not released.
Edo State branch Treasurer of JUSON, Alex Osigbemhe, said that their decision to boycott all judicial activities in the state pending the unconditional release of Justice Okungbowa was total, insisting that the kidnap of lawyers and judges in the state was becoming an embarrassment.
Also, judges in the state have resolved to shun the courts in protest over the abduction of Justice Okungbowa. The action of the judges is coming on the heels of the resolution by the Benin branch of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, to boycott all courts in the state until Justice Okungbowa was released unhurt and unconditionally.
Courts allegedly shunned by NBA last week were Court of Appeal, Benin Division, Federal High Court, all state high court, magistrate courts, customary courts, and district customary courts.

Nigerian-German woman Jennifer Teege grew up in a foster family. Only at age 38 did she discover her biological family’s shocking history. Teege is the child of a Nigerian student and the German daughter of Amon Goeth, the commandant of the Plaszow concentration camp outside Krakow in today’s Poland who featured in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 Holocaust drama “Schindler’s List”. Her grandfather, Amon Goeth was a sadistic Nazi criminal. Teege deals with the revelations in her new book.
When you hear Jennifer Teege tell her personal story it sounds a lot like a movie. "Many people can't believe that my story is not fiction," she says. And indeed, it sounds a little absurd when a woman in her early 40's with dark skin says she only recently found out that her grandfather is an infamous Nazi criminal.
The man Teege refers to is Amon Göth, the former commander of the concentration camp Plaszow close to Krakow in Poland. The name Amon Göth is still well-known around the world today, thanks in part to Steven Spielberg's 1993 movie "Schindler's List." The award-winning movie portrays two men of the same age but who acted very differently during the Second World War.
Amon Göth killed Jews in a concentration camp; Schindler saved the lives of hundreds of Jews by letting them work in his factory. The country of Israel gave Schindler the honorary title "Righteous among the Nations." Amon Göth was hanged as a war criminal in Poland in 1946.
Murder from his balcony
One particularly poignant scene in the movie shows Amon Göth shooting at prisoners from the balcony of his villa in Plaszow. The man became known as the personification of a sadistic Nazi murderer. And Jennifer Teege is his granddaughter.
Teege grew up in a foster family. Her biological father is from Nigeria; her mother is German. She understands what it is like to stick out.
"When I was a child people would comment on my skin color, and that hurt me," Teege told DW in an interview. Teege studied in Israel, where she met many holocaust survivors. She read to them in German and was glad she wasn't perceived as a German. Nobody in Israel would have thought that this dark-skinned woman was a direct descendent of a Nazi criminal.
In fact, Jennifer Teege didn't know about it for a long time, either. She was brought to a foster home as a little girl. In the beginning her biological mother and grandmother would visit her, but then the contact broke off. At 38 Teege accidentally found a book and recognized her mother on the cover. The book was about the concentration camp commander Amon Göth and his daughter Monika - Jennifer Teege's mother.
Between heroes and monsters
This is where the book starts, which Jennifer Teege is now writing in collaboration with journalist Nikola Sellmair. The title sends chills down your spine: "Amon. My grandfather would have shot me." It is the personal story of Jennifer Teege and her quest for her identity. The book also deals with Germans falling silent in the post-war era about what had happened in the Third Reich, which has an impact yet today.
Younger generations demanded those who actively experienced the Nazi regime to face their past. But "what their own grandfather really did - many don't know about that," writes journalist Nikola Sellmair. In the book she puts Teege's individual story in a historic context.
"Many children of famous Nazis are torn between glorification and unlimited hatred of their fathers," Sellmair writes. The son of Hitler's right-hand man, Rudolf Hess, spent his life trying to clear his father's name. The grandniece of Hitler's air force head, Hermann Göring, got voluntarily sterlized "in order to not produce another monster like this." Teege's own mother, Monika Göth, gave numerous interviews about her father, in which she wavers between hatred and justification of his actions.
"While the children of Nazi criminals still deal with the crimes of their fathers, the grandchildren are reprocessing the entanglement of their families," Sellmair writes. Dealing with the crimes makes the descendants hold onto the guilt of their families, she adds, but accounting for the past gives grandchildren a way to free themselves of their feelings of guilt.
Processing the past
"It is very easy to distance yourself from Amon Göth, who is such a strong symbol for evil and say 'I am different,'" Teege said. "But there are shades. A person isn't either good or bad." For Teege this differentiation is important, especially to avoid painting the enemy in a false portrait of hatred. After all that's exactly what happened during the Nazi regime, she said.
Through her book and research, Teege is facing her family history. She looks through pictures of her grandmother, who temporarily lived with Amon Göth in his concentration camp villa. She often travels to Krakow to the scene of her grandfather's crimes. She meets with historical witnesses who remember the horrors of the past. She reads everything she can find about the Nazi past and talks to psychologists to help process it all. "You think that if you don't talk about something, then it won't have any impact on you. But in my case the silence had a destructive effect," she said.
All her life Teege said she suffered from depression, but now she feels very well. "Your origin is decisive in your own identity, and every person needs to feel their own identity,” Teege said. So far she has focused on her German family history but in the future she wants to get to know Africa and travel to Nigeria - the home of her biological father.

ASUU Strike: Jonathan calls for review of labour laws .
Abuja – President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday advocated a review of labour laws to curtail the excesses of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other labour unions.
The President, who made the call during a Presidential media chat in Abuja, urged the striking members of ASUU to return to work in the interest of their students and the education sector.
The President also said it was inconceivable that lecturers in state-owned universities would go on strike over issues concerning the allowances of lecturers in federal universities.
He said such a situation would not occur if well-guided and well-thought out laws were in place regulating labour union activities Jonathan also said that the N79 billion Earned Allowance arrears, which was the major reason for the ASUU strike, was not supposed to be paid from the federation account.
According to the President, earned allowances ought to be paid from the Internally Generated Revenue of the universities, if a good labour law is in place.
Jonathan called on the striking ASUU to reconsider its stand by accepting government offer, and call its members back to the classrooms.
The President reiterated the commitment of his administration to adequately fund the universities and provide the necessary infrastructure to aid the education sector
Jonathan said that the PDP-led administration had done quite well, despite all the odds and challenges
According to him, Nigeria is better off in the past years of the PDP-led government with improved standard of living, building of more federal universities, improved telecommunication, railways and roads. The President assured that with the commitment of his administration to the privatisation of the power sector, electricity supply would become stable by the end of the first quarter of 2014. (NAN)
Church for only Celebrities Open in Nairobi Kenya
Hummmmmmmmh I can’t wait to attend this church…..lol …..All-Star Church opened its doors to famous people in Nairobi on sept 23....
The church will use a hall at the Laico Regency, a five-star hotel frequented by the who’s who in Kenya.
The church wants to preach the gospel to musicians, actors, sports stars, top politicians and corporate chiefs. Churches mostly frequented by VIPs in Nairobi include Mavuno, Nairobi Pentecostal Church (Valley Road) and Jesus Celebration Centre (JCC).
According to the senior pastor of All-Star Church Catherine Munene, the church is for “high-end Christians who cannot go to River Road churches.”
When the church was inaugurated during the sept 23 Sunday service, top names in corporate and political world were part of the congregation.
They included former Kenya Big Brother contestant and now Ziwani county rep, Millicent Mugadi. Governor Evans Kidero was expected to attend All-Star’s first service but he was said to have attended the Sotokoto Marathon.
Pastor Esther Obasike led the opening service.
All-Star’s Pastor Munene, told The Nairobian, “We are not looking for celebrities or hunting for them. But we are encouraging them to come as we are offering what is relevant.”
She also dismissed claims that she had been given the church hall for free by the Libya-owned hotel.
“We are paying a lot of money which of course I cannot disclose. Please don’t listen to rumours that could destroy my church. I know media houses destroy churches and if The Nairobian does this we will deal with you. We are very powerful,” she said as she invited the writer to attend one of her services.
REVEALED: Jonathan Set To Arrest Obasanjo, Atiku Over G7 Crisis
Governors in the G7 are: Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers); Musa Kwankwaso (Kano); Murtala Nyako (Adamawa); Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto); Babangida Aliyu (Niger); Sule Lamido (Jigawa); and Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara). In a statement yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Chukwuemeka Eze, the faction said intelligence report in its possession revealed that the Presidency was already putting finishing touches to the plan. According the party, the Presidency’s plot is code named “Operation Total Crackdown on G7 and their allies in the New PDP”.
“When we got details of the plot to arrest and commit the leadership of New PDP to prison without charge we thought it was a joke.
“The reality, however, dawned on us after we read the interview of our friend and brother, Alhaji Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, in the PREMIUM TIMES of 26th September, 2013, confirming that President Goodluck Jonathan is under pressure to arrest former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar without any further delay.
“The sin of these two distinguished Nigerian statesmen, according to those plotting their “demystification”, is their alleged support for the New PDP, including the G7 Governors. That this evil plot is being conceived by the Presidency confirms that the Abacha days are truly here again with us”, the statement added. The party said in view of the development, the leadership of the Baraje group had, in an emergency meeting of its National Working Committee, brainstormed on how best to respond to the plot.
“Our conclusion at the end of the meeting was that we would not be intimidated for any reason, even if it means death, as we are fighting a just cause of reclaiming, recovering and establishing our party based on the vision of its founding fathers as the party is currently usurped by some members who do not know how it was formed.
“Baraje, knowing how dirty some of the hawks in the Presidency can fight when pushed to the wall, directed NWC members to write their wills immediately after the meeting as we have entered the stage of no retreat and no surrender – fully determined to reclaim what rightly belongs to us”, the party said. Baraje urged the G7 Governors not to be intimidated or frightened by any tactics or strategy employed by “state forces” to coerce them to forgo any of the issues they have been asked to present before President Jonathan in the October 7 meeting.
The party regretted that instead of employing diplomacy to attend to the issues that brought about the present conflict, the Presidency had chosen to apply force. Baraje said that rather than being disturbed by the plot, his members are ready for any tactics that may be adopted by the Presidency in the alleged crackdown. “In this regard, we wish to urge both the Presidency and those detailed to attack us not to waste time or wait till October 7 to start arresting us, as there are thousands of Nigerians ready to step into our shoes and fight this cause to its conclusion.
“We are convinced that at the appropriate time; Asari Dokubo will join us when he is convinced as a social crusader, the injustice we have been subjected to in PDP all these years so we are not threatened by his outbursts”, Baraje added.
The party quoted a one time President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, to buttress its determination to face the alleged threat squarely.
Roosevelt had stated in that memorable speech: “Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any other public official, save exactly to the degree in which he himself stands by the country.”

The Intercontinental Lagos, a subsidiary of the Intercontinental Hotel Group, IHG, is owned by the Milan Group. Unveiling the 5-star hotel, Fashola said the edifice would surely boost the hospitality and tourism industry in the state, while urging other entrepreneurs to look inward and invest their money in hotels and public utilities such as roads.
According to him, the unveiling of the hotel represented the increasing brands of hotels making Nigeria their choice destinations, saying that the tourism industry would be boosted by the new edifice. “The tourism business is the major sector that creates jobs but sadly, this sector faces lots of challenges across the continent.
The Lagos State Government is committed to providing the enabling environment,” he said. Fashola harped on collection of consumption tax and urged hotels and other in the hospitality business to help the government to collect the tax for developmental purpose. “Consumption taxes are not levied on hotels but on consumers.
The role of hotel is to collect the tax and give it to us. It is by collecting this taxes that you empower us to provide schools, public utilities and others,” he stated. Chairman, Milan Group, Ramesh Valechha said the hotel would change the landscape of Lagos and boost the hospitality industry in the state. He disclosed that Memorandum of Understanding for the project was signed on 31 March, 2004 while it took two years to complete the design work before the conceptualisation of the project began.

Valechha disclosed the building of the hotel cost over N30 billion while 650 jobs were created for Nigerians. Regional General Manager, IHG, Africa, Karl Hala said the hotel is the leading hotel in Nigeria, saying the group had 170 Intercontinental Hotels in 60 countries of the world.
He described the unveiling of the hotel in Lagos as a significant milestone in the hospitality industry, adding that the group also had 20 Intercontinental Hotels in Africa and that the hotel was the only 5-star hotel in Nigeria. Abia SSG in a Fatal Car Crash
Information reaching 247ureports.com through sources in Umuahia indicates that the Secretary to the State Government [SSG] was involved in a fatal car accident.
According to the information received, the crash occurred along the Abiriba – Umuahia expressway at about 11am Saturday morning.
The SSG who drove in a sport utility vehicle [SUV] sustained major injuries. The other person who drove a Honda Accord died instantly at the scene of the crash.
The SSG, according to a staff at the hospital is responding to treatment and is stable. the SSG was headed to Abiriba from Umuahia after a funeral service.
According to eyewitness report, the driver of the red Honda Accord lost control of his vehicle and slammed onto the SSG’s 4×6 injuring the SSG’s driver and his Orderly.
According to the hospital staff, the condition of the three – although stable – remain critical. The medical expert who was among the team that tended to the SSG, his driver and his Orderly told our correspondent that they may be required to be airlifted to a better medical facility in order to save their lives.
The medical expert indicated that the SSG and the two – sustained life threatening injuries. The driver sustained leg injury while the SSG sustained multiple injuries
TRAGIC: Dozens Of Students Killed As Boko Haram Attacks College Of Agriculture, Yobe
Unknown gunmen have launched a vicious attack on the College of Agriculture in Yobe state, killing an unspecified number of students.
Details of the attack are still sketchy but the provost of the college, Mulima Mata, confirmed the incident, which the News Agency of Nigeria said occurred early Sunday morning in the Gujba district of the state. Reports say the students were shot dead as they slept in their dormitory.
The Yobe state command of the Nigeria police could however not be reached to confirm the incident. But the Agence France-Presse news agency quoted a military spokesman in Yobe state, Lazarus Eli, as saying the gunmen also set fire to classrooms.
Residents believe the attack has the imprimatur of the extremist Boko Haram sect which has in the past three years slaughtered thousands of innocent Nigerians in attacks on schools, places of worship, media establishments and security installations.
Academic activities only resumed last week in schools across Yobe state following 10 weeks of closure after the brazen attack by members of the violent sect on two secondary schools, which led to the death of 29 students and three teachers.
